Disney’s Magic to Energize Tulsa Business September 14

Collins College Center for Executive and Professional Development is pleased to host Disney Institute’s Disney’s Approach to Inspiring Creativity on September 14 to share some of the concepts and ideas that have propelled Disney’s more than 80 years of business success. Alumni save 10 percent on this and other programs presented by the CEPD.

Disney Program for TU Includes Kendall-Whittier Partners

Disney Institute’s facilitators will present a free 1.5 hour program for TU faculty and staff September 15, following their one day program for business and industry. And with special permission from Disney Institute, the TU family will be expanded to include Kendall-Whittier Elementary School principal and staff, as well as those involved in the Community School Project.

Smart classrooms taking shape in Helmerich Hall

Ever wished you could rewind or fast forward a lecture or presentation? Graduate students at the Collins College of Business soon will have this capability when two “smart classrooms” open in Helmerich Hall this fall.

KIPP students visit Collins College

Ask a group of eighth graders what finance or economics means and you might receive a whole lot of shrugs. That wasn’t the case at the Collins College of Business on May 12 when nearly 60 eighth graders filed into Helmerich Hall for a “Get to Know Business” day.>

Studio Blue contest spawns new TU shirt

Another fun Studio Blue project is about to hit the streets and raise money for a good cause. Under the guidance of Marketing Professor Charles Wood, Studio Blue at the Collins College of Business – hosted a contest in the spring to generate fresh designs for a new TU shirt.

Name change is good fit for department

The Business Career Center is the new name of the department previously called Business Career Development at the Collins College of Business. The change reflects the breadth of services provided at the center for students pursuing careers in business and companies looking for employees.

Mexican exchange students visit Tulsa companies

Two international business students from Tulsa’s sister city San Luis Potosi, Mexico are spending eight weeks in Tulsa on an exchange program offered by the Collins College of Business.
